As part of the process of reconstructing/updating our website we have, out of necessity, addressed the manner in which you can receive this indispensable epistle.
Until now, you have received the ClubJett Newsletter by:
1. Snail mail (USPS) or
2. By way of the email distribution list which many of you are participating in at this time.
The last "snail mail" hard copy mailing will be the October, 2011 issue – the next one.
Those of you who receive your newsletter by USPS and paid your $10 to help defray the cost of duplicating, folding, stapling and stamping will receive the October issue, as usual. So will those of you who receive complimentary copies by snail mail.
BUT THAT WILL BE THE LAST ONE SENT BY USPS.
Instead and in lieu thereof, we are going to give you free what you have been paying to receive … and it will be in vivid color. And we won’t have to ever again duplicate, fold, staple or stamp a zillion newsletters.
Here’s all you have to do. Go to the "Online Store" link located at the top of the page on this website and fill in your e-mail address. Don’t have a computer? Well, we bet a neighbor, son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter, friend or distant relative has one and would be more than happy to be the designated recipient for you. So, if you don’t have an e-mail address personally, give us their e-mail address.
Keith is an old carbon paper lawyer and he likes paper and staples and stamps and such like. But even he, with the strong encouragement of staff and friends, has to admit, IT’S TIME.
It may take a little adjusting to get used to – but start by going to the “Online Store” and enter your e-mail address. The rest will be easy, and when you see the photos in color, you’ll appreciate that it is a better idea albeit long in coming.
Remember, the ClubJett Newsletter comes out each quarter --- that’s January, April, July and October. We’ve been publishing this document for 23 years and plan to keep it up. Enjoy.

It did not break the Duo’s hearts at all when Time Life suggested they come to DC to visit, eat lobster at one their collective places and plot marketing strategies for the coming year. The head of Time Life had introduced them to one of the best kept hotel secrets in DC, the Mansion on O Street, NW. It is an eclectic museum of music and antiques; doesn’t advertise; and you’re anonymous — if anyone calls, you do not exist. You fix your own breakfast in this magnificent row house. And just all the rockers and others stay there when in town. In fact, on their first trip Arlo Guthrie poured Keith his first cup of coffee of the day. It has hidden passages, book cases that swing open leading to hidey hole rooms and run by a true renaissance lady, known only as “H” and her husband Ted.
While taking a walk, Keith & Jett noticed an attractive young lady carrying a dog—he commented on the dog and she responded. In three minutes Jett established that Elizabeth was from Alabama and went to the University. The Duo was invited for drinks with her and her friend, who turned out to be about Keith’s age. Friend Paul owns a string of restaurants in DC and it didn’t take long for them to realize they know and knew all of the same folks — the movers, the shakers, the good, the bad and the ugly. We think this might be a budding relationship. After drinks at a Paul owned restaurant, it was lobsters with Time Life and meetings the next day. Great fun.
