Nashville, TN (April 23, 2013) – The family tradition continues! Jett Williams, the daughter of country music icon Hank Williams, has signed an exclusive booking agreement with Brand Entertainment Agency (BEA). Carrying on the legacy of her father, Jett Williams has toured the world, a fine performer in her own right, sharing her story and proving that musical talent can be passed on from one generation to the next.
Jett Williams was born a mere five days after her father’s death. Immediately, Hank’s mother, Lillian, began the adoption process, which turned into a two year ordeal. Finally, Lillian proved to the State of Alabama that she was Jett’s paternal grandmother and she gained guardianship renaming Jett, Catherine Yvonne. Two weeks later, Lillian died at the age of 57 and within hours, Jett was an orphan and a ward of the State of Alabama. Thirty years and a precedent-setting eight year legal battle later, Jett Williams was finally recognized as a rightful heir to the Hank Williams Legacy.
The years of struggles and tears have ultimately culminated with three studio albums, a European tour and a book “Lost & Found: The Story of Hank Williams' Lost Daughter.” However, this is only a preview of what we can expect from this remarkable woman.
"Jett inherited much more than her father’s good looks,” said Greg Burns, President of Brand Entertainment Agency. “Hank’s little girl was infused with the soul and passion of her father’s music. We are pleased to represent her.”
Jett Williams joins a quickly-growing roster at Brand Entertainment Agency that also includes Andy Griggs, Anita Cochran, Baillie and The Boys, Billy Dean, Collin Raye, Jamie O’Neal, Moe Bandy, Restless Heart, Tim Rushlow, Ty Herndon, and Sweethearts of the Rodeo to name a few.
